  • Dan O'Keefe (born 1968) is a writer and producer, best known for his writing for Seinfeld, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Drew Carey Show, The League and Silicon Valley. Dan served as a producer, co-producer, and executive producer in a total of 92 episodes in Seasons 4 - 8. He also was involved in the writing of 16 episodes in Seasons 4 through 8, beginning with the episode "Cain and Mabe" (episode #6). He wrote the teleplay for the episode "Good Vibrations" (episode #24) and the story for the Season 7 episode "Look Mom, One Hand!" (episode

    O'Keefe is responsible for popularizing the holiday Festivus on the 1997 Seinfeld episode "The Strike".[1] Festivus had been invented by O'Keefe's father, editor and author Daniel O'Keefe, in the 1960s.[2]

    In 2005, Dan O'Keefe published an official book about the holiday and its history, titled The Real Festivus.[3]
